Leadership Turlock
Since its beginning in 1993, Leadership
Turlock has been designed to inspire and motivate Turlock area
citizens to achieve higher levels of leadership responsibility.
The program provides participants with the necessary information
to understand the complexities of the Greater Turlock community.
Through ten seminars held one Friday each month beginning in
September, those selected for Leadership Turlock discuss,
explore and learn about the following:
• Introduction to Turlock Government & Politics
• Agriculture, Industry & Business
• Media in the Community
• Non-Profits & Social Services
• Land-Use & the Environment
• Elementary & Secondary Education.
• Leadership Retreat
• Legislative Sacramento
• Higher Education.
• Health Care
• Law Enforcement & the Courts
• Graduation Ceremony
Participants will have the opportunity to:
• Grow in their understanding of the community through
exposure to issues of importance they may not otherwise have the
opportunity to explore.
• Exchange ideas with current experts, decision-makers and
community leaders on a broad range of topics.
• Enhance leadership and management skills.
• Develop a close bond of friendship and mutual concern with
other class members
Tuition: $1000 per participant, $150 of which
must be paid by the applicant. The remainder may be paid by the
individual applicant, his or her employer, or a community
organization.
Selection: Leadership Turlock seeks men and
women who have a sincere commitment, motivation and interest in
serving the community. Applications are sought and encouraged
from all segments of the community including businesses, the
professions, education and civic organizations. The Leadership
Turlock Steering Committee pre-screens written applications and
conducts personal interviews with applicants considered
qualified for the program. Because the program is limited in
size, the committee with only be able to accept no less than
fifteen (15) and no more than twenty (20).

Turlock Chamber of Commerce or download a PDF file Leadership
Turlock Application. They must be completed and returned to the
Chamber by Friday, July 6, 2007. Participants selected for the
program are notified in August. Since attendance at each session
is required, it is important for the applicants to have the full
